Changing your name can affect more records than people expect.
This free checklist helps you see which organisations may need updating before you start sending documents or contacting everyone at once.
You can use it to check:
passport records
driving licence and DVLA records
banks and building societies
HMRC and DWP / Universal Credit
employer, payroll, pension, or training records
landlord, housing, mortgage, or council tax records
utilities, insurance, GP/NHS records, and online accounts
business or director records if relevant
You do not need to send sensitive documents to get the checklist.
Please do not upload passports, bank statements, birth certificates, deed polls, court documents, or other sensitive records through the checklist form.
If you need support later, Records Reset UK will explain the safest next step first.
If your records are already messy, rejected, mismatched, or spread across different places, you can also start a records reset review.
Complete the short form and choose “Send me the free checklist". You do not need to send sensitive documents.
